At MADE IN CLEY we make a full range of handthrown oven to table ware, dinner sets and every-thing needed in the kitchen. We use stoneware clay for our domestic ware fired to approx. 1300C, which means all our pots are very hard wearing, oven-proof and dishwasher-safe. In addition we make individual pieces in porcelain, earthenware and raku and handbuilt dishes and tiles.

We use a wide variety of glazes, developed by us over the years, as well as traditional Japanese glazes such as tenmoko and celadon. We also decorate using slip and sgraffito. We fire in gas and electric kilns using reduction and oxidisation techniques.
